Your loyalty program lives in your point of sale. Ospelia reads it and puts it to work in your marketing. Points and rewards are earned and redeemed at the register, as usual.
Loyalty from Square
If you run Square Loyalty and Square is connected, Ospelia reads your loyalty program, members, point balances and recent activity about every six hours. It only reads. Nothing is ever changed in Square.
Go to Marketing → Guests → Loyalty to see:
- your program and its reward tiers
- members and their balances, with search
- recent points earned and redeemed
Toast and Clover loyalty will show here when those POS connections are available.
Use points in your marketing
- Each guest's profile shows their POS points and recent POS loyalty activity.
- On the Guest list, filter to guests In your POS loyalty program or with 100+ POS points.
- Build a segment with a minimum number of POS points, then send them a campaign. See Manage your guest list and segments.
Points are read-only in Ospelia. To adjust a guest's points, do it in your POS.
Check-in tablets and the rewards card
Check-in tablets still record visits. The guest's rewards card link shows their POS points and tells them rewards are handled at the register.
Gift cards
- Go to Marketing → Guests → Gift cards.
- Click Sell a card to record a card sold at the counter.
- Click Look up a card to check a balance or redeem it.
Cards sold through your POS show their totals here too. Gift cards sold on your website are listed under Marketing → Commerce → Gift card sales. Buyers can send a card to someone else with a message and a delivery date.
Before the holidays, click Set it up under Holiday gift card push. It sets up the emails for gift card season.
The Counter
Marketing → Guests → Counter is for staff at the register. Look up a guest to see their POS points, and check or redeem gift cards.
What happened to Ospelia points and Offers?
Ospelia's own points program and Offers were retired in September 2026. Your old points and offer history are kept, but new points aren't earned in Ospelia and new offers can't be made. Use your POS loyalty program and discount codes instead. Discount codes for online sales are under Marketing → Commerce → Discount codes.
