A booking page in Restaurant reservations mode takes table bookings from your website or a link, and gives your host a live book for the day.
Set up reservations
- Go to Events & Catering → Booking.
- Click + New booking page, or open an existing one.
- Under What guests book, choose Restaurant reservations.
- Set the Smallest party and Largest party online. Bigger groups can call you.
- Set Guests per time slot: how many covers you take at each start time. Add your seating times and the table time in minutes.
- Optional: add your Tables, with a name and number of seats for each type.
- Optional: turn on the Waitlist, so guests can join it when a time is full.
- Choose a card option: - No card needed - Take a deposit per guest - Save a card for a no-show fee
- Optional: tick Also text a reminder the day before. This uses your texting number and only goes to guests who give a phone number.
- Save, then share the link or add it to your website.
Deposits and card holds use your own Stripe account. Connect it under Marketing → Commerce → Payments. If Stripe isn't connected, you'll see Stripe isn't connected yet.
Run the book on the day
- Go to Events & Catering → Booking and open Today's book.
- Use the arrows or the date box to pick a day.
- As guests arrive, click Seat. Click No-show if they don't come, or Cancel if they call to cancel.
Each booking shows the party size, table type and any notes. If a no-show left a card, you can click Charge to take the no-show fee. When you cancel a booking, the next party on the waitlist is told. Click They came if you marked a no-show by mistake.
All your bookings
The Bookings tab lists upcoming, past and cancelled bookings with their party sizes. Bookings link to the guest's record in your guest list.
Good to know
- Guests get an email confirmation and can reschedule or cancel on their own.
- Two guests can't book the last seats at the same time. Ospelia holds the slot while the first guest finishes.
- Reservation reminder emails count toward your plan's monthly email amount. See Usage allowances: emails, texts and AI.
