Work together: tasks, Team Chat and files

Use Inbox & Work for tasks, projects and goals, Team Chat channels and announcements, and shared files and documents.

The Inbox & Work group holds the team's shared workspace: guest messages, tasks, projects and goals, the work log, Team Chat and files.

Tasks

  1. Go to Inbox & Work → Tasks.
  2. Add a task with an owner, a due date and a priority. Pick a category, and set it to repeat if it comes back every week or month.
  3. Ask for a photo as proof if you want to see the job done.

The person gets a reminder. Overdue and due-today tasks show on the Home dashboard. Switch between list, board, week, month and stats views.

Team Chat

Go to Inbox & Work → Team Chat.

  • Everyone is for the whole team. There's also a channel for each location and each role.
  • Direct messages are private between the two people.
  • Add photos and files to a message. They're kept in your account's private storage.
  • Owners and managers can post an announcement. Everyone taps Got it, and the poster sees who has confirmed.

The open chat refreshes every few seconds.

Projects, goals and the work log

  • Projects & Goals: set goals like "keep labor under 30%" and track them against your real numbers. An off-track goal gets a badge.
  • Work Log: a running record of what got done.

Projects and Work Log are off the menu by default. Turn them on under Settings → Navigation.

Files and documents

  • Files holds shared files, and your Google Drive files once Drive is connected.
  • Documents holds SOPs, manuals and other documents. Upload a file, set an expiry date, and choose which roles can see it. You'll get a warning before a document expires.

Inboxes

  • Inbox → Messages is where guest website chats, texts and social comments land. See Text your guests and reply from the Inbox.
  • Inbox → Content inbox holds email sent to your account's own Ospelia address.
